My fiancé and I stayed at Agalia in late July, and I am still blown away that a place this magical actually exists. From the moment we arrived on the property, we were treated like royalty. Every single person welcomed us with such genuine warmth and kindness that we immediately felt at home. Agalia will forever hold a special place in my heart, and we already know we'll be back. We stayed in Room 18, and it was beyond anything I could have imagined. The views were absolutely breathtaking, the room was stunning, and every little detail was thoughtfully designed. Everywhere you looked, there was something beautiful to admire. It's one of those rare places that looks even more incredible in person than it does in photos. What truly made this vacation unforgettable, though, was the staff. Every single person we encountered made us feel like we were the most important guests there. Their hospitality was unlike anything we've ever experienced. Anything we needed was taken care of within minutes, always with a smile and a genuine desire to make our stay perfect. We chose not to rent a car, and honestly, there is absolutely no need when staying at Agalia. The drivers were incredible, taking us anywhere we wanted to explore on the beautiful island of Ios and recommending amazing local restaurants we never would have discovered on our own. Their recommendations made our trip even more memorable. A special thank you to Andi, Cledi, Ermi, and Tania. You each made us feel so incredibly special and cared for. Your kindness, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality are something we will never forget. You are truly some of the nicest people we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. We also had the opportunity to meet one of the owners, and she was one of the most humble, gracious people I've ever met. She invited us to share a bottle of champagne while we enjoyed wonderful conversation together. Moments like that simply can't be manufactured, they're what make Agalia so extraordinary. If you're considering Agalia for your next vacation, don't hesitate for a second—just book it. This isn't just a beautiful hotel; it's an experience. It's a place where you're made to feel genuinely valued, cared for, and, quite honestly, like royalty from the minute you step onto the grounds until the moment you leave. We've already started planning our return trip in 2027, this time with our entire family, because everyone deserves to experience this level of hospitality at least once. The suite was spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything one could wish for – from a luxurious bathroom and a comfortable bed to a breathtaking view from the terrace. Every detail reflected a high standard and a deep care for guest comfort. The staff deserve the highest praise – polite, helpful, and discreet. It was clear that they genuinely care about making every guest feel special and warmly welcomed. The location of the property is also excellent – peaceful, yet well-connected, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. We stayed in the Pathos suite at Agalia for 3 nights and couldn’t rate it highly enough. Before we arrived, Elias from concierge was already so communicative and helpful. Our room and pools were incredible, the pools are cleaned frequently and all the staff including the pool cleaner, housekeeping team, waiters and drivers were very lovely. The owners are ethical and their foundation is for such a great cause. We hope to come back and can’t thank Agalia and the team enough for our exceptional stay!

OMG what an incredible stay! If I could give this resort 100 stars - I would. We loved everything about it. Our suite, the incredible view, the amenities, the hotel’s facilities, the spa - they just thought of everything. Also - the food, the drinks - fantastic. We’re both vegans and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and accommodate our every request (even off menu requests). The vegan burger was an absolute delight. They also made us pasta with coconut cream per our request, and surprised us with a delicious spinach pie to take with us for the ride home. Vegans - you would love it here! The service is just top notch! Everyone at the Calilo is so nice and accommodating. A big shout out to Joana, Maro, Stephan and Yanis - who made our stay so extra special. This was a dream come true! Thank you so much for everything!

Calilo is truly one of the most incredible hotels I have ever visited. Everything is beautiful, unique, and thoughtfully designed. The service is outstanding, and every member of the staff made us feel welcome and cared for throughout our stay. The hotel is even more stunning in person than in photos. Every corner is beautiful, artistic, and incredibly Instagram-worthy, but what makes Calilo special is the feeling you get while being here. The architecture, the atmosphere, and the attention to detail are simply unforgettable. The beach is also absolutely beautiful, with crystal-clear water and a peaceful setting that feels like paradise. As a Brazilian traveler, I can honestly say: if you are thinking about visiting Greece, Calilo is worth every minute of the journey. I completely fell in love with this place and would love to come back one day.
For our honeymoon, we chose to stay at Calilo as part of a tour of Greek islands including Ios, Santorini, and Crete. We should have just stayed the entire time at Calilo. First off, I'd just recommend having them pick you up from the port in one of their vehicles. Yes, unfortunately it costs around 80 euros, but you'll pay that for a taxi too. Once you arrive you'll see it's just on a gorgeous piece of property. It has its own private beach and you're guaranteed to have your own cabana, which is crucial in the intense heat. The beach is probably the best on Ios. The room we stayed in was one of the better ones, with a couple private pools. Many of the rooms do, so you don't have to stay in one of the super fancy ones if you don't want. Just be careful since some of the rooms butt up against the beach, so if you're in one of your private pools, other guests going back to their rooms may be able to see you. Breakfast is just such a good meal. They have a nice buffet but then they have a ton of a la carte items that you can order too... order the French Toast. It's unbelievable. It was so good I told the manager (who's always around and smiling by the way) that I would probably need 9 pieces the next morning. So when we went to breakfast that next day and ordered the French Toast, they brought out a huge pile since the manager remembered what I had said jokingly the day before. They were even fine not having us finish it there and they sent it back up to our room. So awesome. They take such good care of you here. There's really no reason to do anything else here besides go to the beach, enjoy breakfast, and use your private pools at night. You should know that it's a luxury resort, so be prepared to spend some money while you're there. But trust me, the prices are worth it. We're definitely going to go back for an anniversary of some kind because it was the nicest place we've ever stayed.
The most insane room and hotel. So beautiful and fantastic service. We took a transfer from the port to the hotel, it was a 40 minute ride on a twisty road. When we arrived we found out there were helicopter charters available for a reasonable price so we opted for this not only to skip the windy road but to enjoy a once in a lifetime view. Laura and Sandy were fantastic, gym is beautiful. Upon our arrival-We were pleasantly surprised to get upgraded to a 3 bedroom suite for our honeymoon. One thing to note is that the pools are sea fed and temperatures aren't regulated by anything but the sun or lack there of, this didn't bother us but wanted to mention. We took a boat ride for a few hours right from the Calilo Beach. Will definitely be back.

Pathos is wonderful. Please when guests visit you for the first time show them around and let them feel invited and see everything. Let guests know how to add reservations so that they can visit the pool and dance after dinner. The place really sections you off. We stayed at Calilo as well and love the design and life philosophy. Please in the future let people see all of Pathos. My wife and I visited on honeymoon and ate at the restaurant. We wanted to see the rest of the beautiful location but couldn't due to reservations.

This place blew my mind. It was so beautiful. I’ve never seen anything like it.. I entered another world. Unfortunately when I arrived at 8pm the bar and restaurant was closed. I want to tell the world about this place because I think it could be the most amazing restaurant and bar in the world, if there were beautiful people with the same vision as me, eating, drinking, listening to great chill DJ music, dancing later into the night. Wow! This is my favourite venue in the world. I’ve never seen anything like it. I think it might be a day venue I couldn’t work it out.
There are no words to describe this spectacular beach club. One could say that Gaudi himself has taken care of the decoration of this place! If you find yourself on Ios its lokated on Koubara beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island !
A wonderful beach club on a prime location beach front at Koumbara Beach. A cool colorful design and architecture makes it one of the most beautiful beach clubs. Super nice pool facing the beach. Different sun beds and gazebos options. The price is really worth the great impeccable service. We took the front huge swing sunbed for two for 35 euros. Which is super good for a medditeranian beach club. The staff is a Star.. Friendly, smiley and fun to chat with. They would dust off the sand of your sunbed when you go for a swim and offer you fresh cold towel to refresh. Food was good and well priced. The beach is clean and the surrounding is really wonderful. And it is only 10 minutes scooter or quad drive from Chora.
Highly recommended! A proper beach club with pool, restaurant and music. Reminded me of those you find in Ibiza, Formentera or Mykonos. Clearly more expensive than other places on the island, but in line with the service you get. When I visited (Sep 2018), the cabanas started at €35, up to €80 for those in the pool.
4 of us went for lunch for the first time and I can see why it’s so highly rated. Great welcome even though we were early and took us straight to the table. 4 starters of mussels, lamb kofta and scallops were followed by 2 sea bream with crab risotto and the famous roast with a side of creamed cabbage which was the reason I booked here for. Everything was absolutely superb and we can’t wait to go back. Bill was £170 for 4 starters, 4 main courses, a bottle of white wine, 4 pints of cider and 4 pints of lager. Worth every penny. Absolutely spot on, damn near perfection 👌🏻 We went for easter sunday lunch, decided not to have starters and have pudding instead. The service was impeccable, it was busy but the ladies were all smiling and happy with customers. Timing was great! Wasn't too long a wait for food, it came out steaming hot, fresh and delicious. It was roast beef dinner & a vegan meal. The beef was not fatty, chewy or overcooked. The vegan wellington was DELICIOUS! full of flavour. Portion sizes were just the right size. Desserts we decided on after seeing other people's. We made a great choice lol would 100% recommend and cant wait to go back.
Haven't been here in a while but the food was exactly the same standard as it always was. Really delicious and very attentive waitress.
